About Rock River Research
Rock River Research is an independent software company building focused Windows desktop applications for technical, financial, and professional workflows.
We started with a simple observation: many desktop tools are becoming cloud services, subscription bundles, or browser interfaces even when the work is better served by a capable application running directly on the user’s computer.
We take a different approach. Our products are built around defined problems, real files, local-first data, clear licensing, and direct support. Some products use one-time purchases and others use subscriptions when ongoing development or specialized functionality requires it. The licensing model is always stated clearly before purchase.
Our current software includes RockWiFi for Wi-Fi analysis and network diagnostics, RockTerm for terminal and remote access, and RockSolid Money for local-first personal finance. Additional focused Windows applications are in development.
We are not trying to build one enormous platform. Each product should solve its own problem well, remain understandable, and respect the person using it.
