What Are Findings?
Findings are automated insights generated by analyzing the data collected from your Wi-Fi scans, surveys, and diagnostic tests. Each finding identifies a specific issue with supporting evidence, a severity rating, and a clear recommended action.
Severity Levels
Critical
Issues with immediate impact on users. Examples:
- No internet connectivity detected
- All APs on overlapping channels causing severe interference
- Extremely weak coverage in occupied areas
Warning
Significant issues that should be addressed soon. Examples:
- Legacy 802.11g APs dragging down network performance
- High channel utilization on primary channels
- Weak coverage in some areas of the surveyed space
Info
Opportunities and observations that are not urgent. Examples:
- Wi-Fi 7 upgrade opportunity available
- 6 GHz band not currently in use
- MLO (Multi-Link Operation) detected on some APs
Finding Categories
- Coverage — Dead zones, weak signal areas, coverage gaps between APs.
- Congestion — Channel overlap, high utilization, too many APs on the same channel.
- Security — WPA2 without WPA3, open networks, mixed security modes.
- Standards — Legacy APs (802.11n/g), mixed standard deployments, upgrade opportunities.
- Wi-Fi 7 — Partial Wi-Fi 7 deployment, 6 GHz not utilized, MLO opportunities, upgrade paths.

Actionable Recommendations
Every finding includes specific next steps. RockWiFi Pro does not just tell you to “improve coverage” — it tells you to “add an AP near the northeast corner where signal drops below −75 dBm.” Recommendations are grounded in the data collected during your scan or survey so they are specific to your environment.
